One hair at a time...

I shape the right and left eyebrows for raising eyebrows of brass. The brass is then painted to match the skin tone of the forehead. On figures with a deluxe wig such as the one in this picture, I glue individual hairs from the wig onto the painted metal eyebrow backing. It's a long tedious process and even more so when the wig is curly. The hairs need to be straightened as they are glued in place, a few at a time until the proper buildup has been achieved. Then the excess hairs are trimmed away until a properly shaped brow is achieved. It actually takes more time to create eyebrows in this manner than it takes to completely hand paint the figure which is why I only take time to do it on the finer figures.
