From Robert Hatchett
Last October/November I borrowed some ventriloquist books from the library and my Uncle (If you remember Daniel Hatchett, he's my cousin) and started learning ventriloquism. My parents, committing me to ventriloquism and encouraging me on in ventriloquism, bought me Scotty for Christmas. I immediately proceeded to come up with a voice and personality for him. I decided to match his voice and personality with his name, so has become a Scottish farmer accent and all. Because of his Scottish personality, I've changed his outfit to plaid overalls, black turtleneck, and a red beret.
Now, I've been able to teach Bible lessons with him at Camp (My family works at Camp Joy in Whitewater, WI) and Junior Church, but the most thrilling experience was to enter Scotty and I in the Bible Teaching category at the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools (WACS) Academic Meet. We placed first with a near perfect score, and are now preparing to head down to Bob Jones University for the National Academic Meet. All praise has to go to God, because without his enabling and providing I would never have been able to do what I have been able to do. I want to thank you for making Scotty. He and I are going to have a lot of fun together, and I can't wait to see how the Lord is going to use him in the ministry. Thank you again,
Robert Hatchett
II Peter 3:18
Robert has a wonderful future that will produce many new children for God's Kingdom and entertain a few of us along the way. Clinton thanks for your part in putting tools (Scotty) in the hands of people who will faithfully use them to proclaim the Gospel.
